About me
Barry is the Regional School Health Coordinator for the Bay-Arenac ISD, providing training and support to schools in Arenac, Bay, Iosco, and Saginaw Counties with technical assistance in evidence-based health education and substance use prevention. He is the former director of a prevention organization and coalition coordinator with over 30 years of experience working with communities, youth, and parents on health and wellness issues. Barry has held numerous local and state executive positions and is currently the Michigan School Health Coordinators Association Partnership Committee Chair. He holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Walden University, a Master's Degree in Health Promotion Management from Nebraska Methodist College, a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and Community Development from Central Michigan University, and holds a Prevention Consultant Certification from the Michigan Certification Board of Addiction Professionals.
