2026-27 BAISD Professional Development

This full-day on-site session aims to guide teachers with activities and lessons to help their students identify changes in their bodies and recommendations for teaching puberty lessons, and explore various curriculum options for puberty education.

Open to principals and assistant principals across general education, special education, and whole child systems leadership.
The BAISD Principals Network is a collaborative leadership series designed to support principals in navigating the complex realities of school leadership.

Facilitated through a partnership between Instructional Services, Special Education, and Whole Child Systems, this network creates space for leaders to connect, problem-solve, and learn together through the lens of supporting all learners.

Sessions will include timely updates, leadership learning, roundtable discussions, and collaborative problem-solving focused on instructional leadership, student support systems, behavior and SEL needs, special education, and school improvement.

Designed with the realities of the principalship in mind, this network prioritizes practical support, meaningful collaboration, and relevant conversations principals can immediately apply within their buildings.

Audience: Middle school science teachers who are teaching science using the Mi-STAR Science curriculum resource

Ongoing professional learning opportunity that provides educators with time to
connect and collaborate regarding the Mi-STAR middle school science curriculum.
These sessions are specifically designed for teachers who currently teach Mi-STAR.

Date & Time:  December 3, 2026 ~ 3:30 - 5:30 pm
Light snacks and drinks will be provided

A stipend of $30 per hour will be offered for Bay and Arenac participants, and SCECHS will be available.
