Hybrid Reproductive Health Bootcamp - Day 2
Tuesday March 2, 2027 8:30am - 3:30pm EST
This training is designed for health and physical education teachers, school counselors, and other educators responsible for delivering reproductive health education in schools. Whether new to teaching this content or looking for ways to enhance current instruction, participants will gain valuable insights, practical tools, and collaborative learning experiences to bring back to their classrooms.

Day 2: The event will take place at the Bay-Arenac Intermediate School District (ISD). On the second day, we will expand into broader topics related to sex education, including age-appropriate instruction, Michigan’s A-K law, and effective teaching strategies. Educators will participate in interactive training sessions that cover topics such as puberty, consent, healthy relationships, contraception, and inclusive practices. The training will emphasize a skills-based model, which includes introduction, explanation, modeling, and application.

Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their own comfort levels, practice responding to challenging questions from students, and explore trauma-informed approaches to delivering sex education in an accurate and supportive manner. The day will conclude with action planning, ensuring that educators leave prepared to implement engaging and effective sex education programs in their schools.
